Coach Dindo Pumaren and the DLSU squad bounce back after an ugly loss against NU with a huge win against UE.
With something to prove the DLSU Green Archers literally shut the lights out of an ineffective frontline of Coach Lawrence Chongson. The UE Red Warriors were playing catch up the entire game. From the bench, Papot Paredes suprised the Red Warriors with his 10 points, 8 rebounds and an amazing 6 blocks game, together with Ferdinand, Maui Villanueva and Yutien Andrada. The big men of DLSU totally controlled the paint from both ends of the court.
At the end of 1st half, the Red Warriors were able to trimmed the led by 7 points, with an incredible performance from Paul Lee, who spear-headed the entire game with 25 points.
But the young guard lineup of DLSU out hassle their veteran counterpart from the Red-side. When the Red Warriors made an 8-2 run to cut the led to only 10 points in the middle of 3rd quarter, the Green Archers blitz there way with their own 8-2 run to registered a 28 points production.
Sam Marata even increase the Green Archers’ led by 19 points at the 8 minutes of 4th quarter. But after a 3 points answer from James Martinez, its all Green Archers until the end of regulation who had done the necessary stops and better fieldgoal shots to keep the Red Warriors still in search for their 1st win this season.
