23 lead changes, that’s what the last year’s finalists had offered on the last game of 1st round elimination of UAAP season 73, last August 8 at the PhilSports Arena.
At the 1st half, ADMU’s big men pounded the paint with Justin Chua leading the way, as the Blu Eagles had the advantage over UE’s rookie-laden frontline, but the Red Warriors has taken their lackness in height with athleticism in the paint with Ken Acibar’s dominance as he finish the game with 12 points while the perimeter shooting becomes the Red Warriors’ bread and butter with 5 triples to end the 1st half 37-36.
2nd half slowly the main man of UE contributed to the scoring chart, when Paul Lee who finish the game with 16 points gave UE its largest lead of 7 points on the 3rd quarter. In the final quarter, ADMU scoring blitz with Eric Salamat’s timely triples tied the game in the 7:40 mark, and an answer triple by Paul Zamar takes back the lead for the Red Warriors, but the ADMU squad with Salamat, Long, Salva, and Tiongson finally went in their offensive campaign to snatch the game against UE even with an incredible performances from Sam Razon and Raffy Reyes, who both finish the game with 11 points respectively.
