UAAP Season 73 | Game Review: UE Red Warriors vs ADMU Blue Eagles | Round 1
A close game indeed, both teams wants to win, but the ADMU’s experience prevails over the UE’s will. Coach Chongson went into a 9 men rotation, extracting all the Red Warriors’ consistent players both in the offensive and defensive end.
Bravo Bald Men
So far this game against ADMU is the best game for the 1st two bald men of UE, Kit Rosopa and Sam Razon. Kit Rosopa who finish the game with 4 points, 3 rebounds, 2 blocks and Sam Razon who finish the game with 11 points, 3 rebounds, respectively. Aside from their stats, they were the vital point in UE’s defensive positions, knowing that ADMU’s advantage over size and height. And, the last bald man of course is Paul Lee, even struggling because of heavy defensive campaign on him, he was still able to lead the UE’s offense as he scored 16 points.
Because of UE’s inexperience big men, they went on a much quicker line-up with all the veteran guards contributing heavily. 44 points, 22 rebounds, 17 assists (7 of them coming from Paul Lee), and 5 steals.
What Went Wrong
1. Unstoppable Salamat: That was the ADMU’s dagger over UE. No one in Chongson’s line-up were able to prevent Salamat offensive madness. And, because of this he energize the whole ADMU team.
2. Defensive Rebounds: ADMU out hassle on defensive rebounds by 36 boards against UE’s 25. They really have a great defensive stance over the Red Warriors.
3. Experience: lastly they kept their composure even being down by 7 points.
Overall, even though the Red Warriors went home with their 6 defeat this season. We must appreciate their efforts to show their willingness to bounce back and win big time for Lualhati’s name.
